(1) Appalling customer service

I ordered 2 1-tonne bags of top soil from them (they were trading as North West Aggregates) and in the delivery instructions, asked for one to be left in my back garden. When they arrived, the driver informed me he could not move the bags, but could only leave them at the curbside. I expected him to have some kind of trolley or similar, at least to move them a short distance. When I told him that, he simply laughed at me and then became very aggressive. I called the office, but got a similar response from the woman I spoke to. I asked her if she had read my delivery instructions and she said she had. I asked why, if there was a problem with them, she had not contacted me about it, She started yelling at me and when I said I wanted a refund, she said "Shove it!" and hung up on me. So that's the quality of customer service you can expect from them. Meanwhile, the driver left, taking the soil with him. Now I have to go to the trouble of suing them for the £110 I paid.
